Regarding Scrapbooking night.

I got to thinking, does anyone know if the second Tuesday in October will be a problem? If not, then maybe I can call them and see if the second one is open. When I tried to set it up for the third one, she already had something on that day. I know Patty said that the fourth tuesday might not work for her. Anyone else?

Harvest Outreach

Friday, September 21 through Sunday, September 23, 2007 is our Harvest Outreach at Mt. Carmel New Hope Community Church.

Friday night will be children's games, corn hole and basketball tournaments, food, hay rides, balloon art, prizes and a bon fire from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Saturday we will have a petting zoo, pony rides, children's games, food, hay rides and more family fun from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday is "Fill a Pew" Sunday at 10: 30 a.m. with a "pitch-in" dinner following the service. A 2 p.m. Gospel concert will follow the dinner.

Everyone is welcome to come.

The church is located at 4170 Mt. Carmel Tobasco Road and is easy to find from 275.

Romance, River and Railway

AHHHHH I am so excited. Tonight I found out where we are headed in a couple weeks for our one year anniversary.

To start out with, Jay told me he wanted to go on a date tonight. He sent me a text in the middle of the day that said he had made reservations for 8 p.m. On the way to the restaurant I snapped this photo of the new building going up in Covington called The Ascent. It's a weirdly shaped building that comes to a point at the top. We arrived at Mike Fink's. A really neat restaurant in an old boat on the river. Our table was about 3 feet above the water. It has floor to ceiling windows and it is really beautiful. We had a candlelit dinner of Alaskan Crab Ragoon, Mardi Gras Chicken and Chicken Parmesean over angel hair pasta. Yummy!

Before we started eating, Jay whipped out the "vacation binder." He used the same binder for our honeymoon plans so he just added our 1 year anniversary plans in the same one and we are going to keep adding to it over the years. It will be neat to look at it down the road.

So....we are flying out of Dayton, Ohio....non-stop to............LAS VEGAS!!! Then we are renting a convertible and heading to Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon where Jay has already reserved our spots on the Grand Canyon Railway tour. How kewl! I have always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon and Jay is going to make my dream come true. I always wanted to ride a horse in the canyon just like on the old westerns. He has already got our tickets for a one hour trail ride. It is crazily expensive down there but I think we will have a blast. I will definitely be taking tons of pictures to show y'all. We are looking at a helicopter tour which I think would definitely be awesome to do also. Love you, Jay!

Yesterday was pretty busy. It was Jay's first day on the job at the YMCA. It will be challenging but I think he will enjoy it. He gets to be with kids a lot. I believe his position is called a tutoring coordinator. He will working with Cincinnati Public Schools trying to get kids into a tutoring program. I met him at home and we drove up to Olive Garden around the Beechmont area. Then we headed to church where Jay was in charge because the pastor is on vacation with his wife this week. I thought he did a good job. He talked about "Praising God for WHO He is." After the service, Jason and I practiced for our song on Sunday morning. We are by no means singers but we are trying to help out.

After practicing, we headed downtown to the ball park where we caught the last few innings of the game. My boss gave me his tickets as he was in a luxury box last night. They had "Dog Night." A whole section was just for dog owners and their dogs. It was a little weird but some of the dogs were cute.

Decorating

If you know me, you know I am not much of a decorator. My mom is a master decorator and is very good at arrangements. (She did almost all the decorations at my wedding and I got tons of compliments on them.) Anyway, she told me about this kewl new decorating concept.
