i took the plunge....

....literally. My OB doc basically insisted I get the H1N1 vaccine. That's the exciting news these days.

Our Christmas program will be this Friday and Sunday night. It's a hillbilly Christmas program which is perfect for us 'hillbillies.' Come join us!

Here it is all put together. I added 3 borders to the outside of the diamond pattern - 1 white 2" border, 1 striped 3" border and 1 daisy 5" border. I loved how it turned out. I have the quilting patterns stenciled on the borders. The diamonds will just be 1/4" traditionally quilted. One exception - I am not using the traditional white/neutral colored threat to quilt. I am alternating bright pink and bright orange to give it some 'pizzazz' :o)

Next after iron all the squares open, put them front sides together and sew.

Some squares may have become 'unsquare' during the previous sewing. Square them up if needed.

Sew until all your squares are together - same pattern on both squares so they look like above.

Arrange the squares how you like.

I decided on the random style. Start with a row and connect each block to the next like I did on the first row. Make each row and then sew each row together.
