A Celebration of Daniel Stafford's Life

The Bakers are quite spread out throughout the nation so we thought it best to take a picture now since we weren't sure how long it would be before this group would be together again!

Aaron singing a beautiful song - Home Where I Belong

It was too cold and snowy outside to do a graveside service, so the celebration concluded in a small chapel at the memory gardens.

Indianapolis Metro's finest escorted us on these wild looking motorcycles with 4 wheels.

Rev. Leonard Sankey spoke briefly at the memorial service.

The youngest of the Baker clans were privileged to ride in the 6 door Cadillac limo.

The family doing what they do best - gabbing!

Baker family photos

Somehow I have been deemed the Baker family photographer. My sister-in-law, Marylee, wanted me to take some photos of their family. Here are a few of my feeble attempts. I particularly like the collage.

Another crash...

...our other laptop died last night. I think the motherboard is corrupted. Thankfully, the Ruschman Bros. came through again. I was able to get a new laptop today. This one is a great Dell business laptop. It came with a 3 year hardware warranty where in the Dell has same day, on-site service to fix any hardware issues. Sigh! Sounds great to me.
Tonight we are in Indy. Jay's grandpa's funeral is tomorrow. Pray for the family, please!

I don't know about you...

....but one thing that I learned as a kid, if you're going to be sick, control yourself, get through it and if you couldn't, let Dad know and he would pull over. He would try all kinds of things to make you feel better, roll down the window, turn on the cool air, anything to help.

As an adult, Dad isn't always there to help out every time I don't feel that great. Thanksgiving was kinda hard for me this year. There were new babies at both family gatherings. Funny how neither family has had a baby in a several years and then, whammo! one at each gathering.

A friend of Jay's family came over with one of his new twins. She weighed less than 5 pounds and was pretty cute. He looked at me and said "Regi, would you like to hold her?" How could I say 'no' to a new father who probably didn't realize that his words alone made me want to cry? I steeled my eyes and forced them to remain tearless and took the little one. She definitely is a darling.
