A chronic ache!

Since I've started working out at Curves, I've gotten an ache in my leg. It's not like a cramp or like it's sore from being worked, it just seems to hurt/ache a lot. I remember having this problem in the winter when I played basketball for Faith. It never seemed to go away. So here you can see my attempt to resolve the problem. This little battery operated mini masseuse is so neat. It sends tiny little shocks in different patterns and strengths into whatever area you place the little pads. It feels really good on your shoulders around your neck so I thought I would try it out on my leg. It did help the ache to go down in a little, so I think I am going to start using it after workouts.

Double date and Creation Museum

Me and my honey on a double date at the Cheesecake Factory! Jay had Banana Cream Cheesecake and I chose Chocolate Peanutbutter Cookie Dough Cheesecake.

The other couple - Tim and Kris and their lil one!

The Creation Museum was pretty neat. Big thanks to our friend, Tim, who gave us passes to the museum and the planetarium.

Lay Appreciation Month

February is the Lay Appreciation month. We felt it would be nice to invite the entire church to our house. We don't have a big church so this is feasible for us. Tonight 25 people were in our house - it was crowded and very loud, but I loved every minute. We actually had more than 25 people at church tonight but these were the ones who accepted our invitation to come over.

Crowded in the kitchen. Menu = 160 meatballs, 90 BBQ sausage links, potato chips, corn casserole, potato salad, macaroni salad, pretzels and peanutbutter dip, tortilla chips and chili dip, Famous Amos cookies, a batch of brownies, 1 cherry pie, 4 peanutbutter pies and soda.

3 spills (thankfully all in the kitchen on the vinyl floor) later everyone seemed very full and happy

At the end, I ate the left overs - 4 meatballs, 3 sausage links a spoonful of potato salad, macaroni salad and corn casserole. I gave some pieces of the peanutbutter pies away. God has been good to us. We are very thankful that God has blessed us with a ministry to this church and the people here.

Recovery

During his surgery, the vet discovered a tumor on his leg so not only is he now 'bullwinkless' but he is a cripple too. Poor thing! (my brother is the one who came up with the 'bullwinkless' name)
Bullwinkle tries to figure out a way to get his treat out of the laundry basket - he couldn't figure it out!

To my best friend

Three years ago today, Jay asked me to to join him in this journey of life. It was a Saturday and he took me to the Opryland Hotel Gardens and proposed. So romantic. He is the love of my life. God gave me the best person for me. I love you Jason David!

For the dog...?

Jay, the dog hater, feeding Bullwinkle sour cream on a spoon. This was not approved by me, but it was too late by the time I turned around. I am thinking maybe Jay is not such a dog hater as he once was.

Sitting on the porch in the sunshine!

This picture doesn't show the mud very well since it is sitting in the bright sunshine but you can see it gooped under the wheel well. This morning, Jay and I with both our cars and another lady, made the trek up the muddy road to pick up 14 kids! The car is an absolute disaster, even though the kids did well by trying to keep their muddy shoes on the floor.

Bullwinkle and a new friend.

Last Sunday night was Super Bowl night as we all know. However, in an effort to keep people interested in church over the Super Bowl, we invited one of the missionaries we support to our church. He and his family are in medical work in China. Due to the severe persecution, you can't even find his family photos on the Wesleyan missions website. He answered many questions about his 'medical' work and what all things they can do for the Christians there. It was the highest attendance we have had in a long time on a Sunday night. These guys below had wanted to stay home and watch the game. Jay told them if they made the effort and came to church to hear the missionary, he would personally take them to our house to watch the game which we had recorded. They came to church :o)

This morning we had nearly 50 in our morning worship service which is such a blessing. Jay works hard by going out and calling nearly every Saturday.
