Woohoo! It's Done!

Yes! I finally finished it. This was my first quilt without using a pattern out of a book. The stars were from a quilt that I had done before but the borders and the flag were something I just had in my head. I think it looks pretty neat. The special touch I was talking about were a couple words that I put around the flag. The cool thing about making a quilt is you can do it however you want.

That quilt is beautiful!!! You did a great job. I would never have the patience for some thing like that. I like small projects, so I can be rewarded with the finished product quicker, but I am sure that the reward for something like that is much greater. That is some thing that you can pass down for generations. I have two quilts from my grandmothers and I charish them.

Thanks Linda and Patty. I know what you mean about smaller projects. I already have the material and pattern for the next one and it is smaller thank goodness!

I love the quilt, I would love to have one like that on Wills bed. Well, maybe for my first grandson. Kim V.

Hey Kim and Aimee! Thanks for commenting. Kim, you might want to start now on that quilt. They seem to take forever to make especially when you can only work on them a little at a time. Have a great day!

The quilt is beautiful. It has been fun watching the process (even seeing the poked finger). I love anything Americana. You did an excellent job.
If you are wondering who I am I am married to a family friend of your husbands family. I got the link to your blog from Leanna.

Wow...you are a talented lady!!! I can't imagine making something like this without a pattern. Well, I could make something like this, but it just WOULD NOT turn out as anything recognizable! Nice job!
