18 months Together

Our 18 month anniversary was this past Sunday. I thought I would do a post with all the quilts that I have done in those 18 months. This first one is just the quilt top of course, and the blue sampler I had put together (but not finished) before we were married. The rest of them were put together, and quilted after we said our vows. Senora, maybe I should open a quilt shop :o) ( I haven't started quilting the scrappy quilt yet. I found some neat blue and white materials so I am cutting out the pieces for that one now)

Regina,
I'm not sure you know me, but Janella & I are friends and I use to go to school with Jason so I feel like I "know" you :)
I love seeing your quilts and think your black & white one pictured above is just beautiful! You should definitely consider selling your work.
Thanks for sharing.

My favorites are: the music one (of course!!), the blue and yellow one and the americana one, but they're ALL beautiful and represent hours of hard work and artistry. Congrats!

Thanks for all the comments.

Yes, Leah, I remember you (a little).

Senora, remember during that quilting class when Lyndie got the hiccups?? Didn't she hang over a chair to try to get rid of them? Something goofy like that happened.

They are beautiful -- I like them all but I think I would have place for the "mocha" one -- the one in browns.
You should start a shop or at least take orders!! I would love to put one on my bed!

Beautiful!
yes, and while la senora was peacefully instructing you girls on delightful things like scrapbooking and quilting, I was in the kitchen with a bunch of guys who didn't want to be there, or didn't want ME to be there. Either way, I so-o-o-o wanted to be in ~d's class!

anna - aw, that's sweet!

regi - i don't specifically remember that incident, but it sure sounds like something our lyndie would do :):)

Lol I am almost positive it was Lyndie. I remember working away on that first quilt. My favorite part was hand quilting it (and still is) Course back then 3 stitches in an inch was good for me :o)

I remember the hiccuping incident..it seems to me she tried hanging over backwards on the chair and it fell backwards and she did a little back flip :)

that's the only way i could ever have acheived a back flip! i remember being able to do backBENDS... *LOL* i do remember the incident- i'm sure i must've handled it quite gracefully- as we all know how coordinated i am. ;P

you HANDquilted all those?! now i'm just baffled- that would've taken me "forever"!

Lyn, I am sure it was graceful, like a swan....riiggghhht! Those were the days. Yes, they are handquilted. I haven't even learned how to machine quilt and I am not sure that I want to. I love handquilting.

I can verify that she HAND quilts these quilts! Check out her finger and all of the wholes!!!! She is amazing!
