Life Awaits

Thanks to all who prayed for us. All decisions have been made. As you may know, Jay has felt a definite call from God on his life to be in the ministry. He has been a youth pastor for a couple churches over the last few years. Over the last several weeks, Jay has been filling in for a church that hasn't had a pastor for about a year. Tonight the church voted unanimously for Jay do be their new pastor. It is a small church in a small town about an hour south of Cincinnati. The folks are sweet and seem to be excited that we will be coming. So, in the next several weeks we will be moving. FYI - I hate moving. It's the worst thing ever. One great thing - they do have a house that we wil be able to live in. It's about twice the size of our apartment so the extra room will be very nice. Pictures later :o)

My mom was just telling me about it. Glad it's worked out for you. We will miss you though!

Now you can get a baby Jack Russell? Maybe pastor's wives aren't allowed to have puppies.

WOW! Congrats! Moving is fun! A time to weed out the old and the items you no longer use. Then setting up with the same furniture but in a new setting is always fun.
Just look at it as an adventure!
Will you be giving up your current job?

Thanks Anna! Sweet of you to be optimistic. I have gotten rids of lots of books already because we didn't have room to display them in our apartment but I would say we still have over a dozen boxes of books to haul :o)

Nope, I will still be driving to the jail. The commute will be a lot longer than I am used to (about 50 minutes) but I really need to keep working because there is where we get our benefits.

Congratulations to the both of you! This really sounds like an exciting time in your lives. From your previous blogs, i was trying to guess what you were planning. I was waaaaay off. It should be nice moving to an area where people will be so welcoming.
So, 1 hour south of Cinci, is that more like Lexington'ish??

This is wonderful! You both will be great with young people, as you both have fun personalities. I trust the Lord will bless your ministry!
